Followers and friends are less and less certain these days because you are never really sure whether these folks are genuine friends and followers. But should you receive a pound of likes, never really able to test its veracity, what does it matter. As long as you have them, right? If only it were so. The argument still goes that quality will always trump quantity. In social media, with Instagram and Facebook, being two good examples, the active social media practitioner should be aiming for a balance of what was just mentioned.
Quality and quantity. Not one or the other. And dependent on what kind of program you are putting forward, depending what kind of theme, subject or product you are promoting on Instagram and Facebook, not one or the other, ideally both – this is good for broadening your outreach – there are numerous tasks you could sink your teeth into, and of course, you can only really utilize these proportionately. Taking in too much could just as easily overwhelm and confuse you, particularly if you are new to Instagram.
Not so much Facebook because by now, most of you are already registered on this ancient platform, not so. The following is just a smattering of the tasks that could keep you busy in terms of realizing more Insta likes and followers onto your posts and platforms respectively. Regular posting work, consistently creating stimulating visuals, accompanying these with clear captions, making a commanding call to action on a regular basis, and maintaining a positive tone throughout are the suggested tasks you could immerse your mind and fingers in.
Regular posting, daily posting, sometimes even three to four posts a day, is par for the course for successful Instagram entrepreneurs these days. Buying likes and followers is not as irksome as it appears. Visual stimulations that are enamoured with bright hues are always enjoyed by those who like to keep things clean, clear and simple.
Clear captions will help create a better impression and appreciation of what your goals and objectives are. And apart from gifting you with the obligatory likes – but please, never take these for granted – you could be prompting visitors to become followers, and existing followers to actively promote you, one way or another.
Clear calls to action are particularly important in the commercial space with the object of the exercise always being that visitors and followers will ultimately be making a purchase or two from you and helping to realize the maintenance and growth of your financial bottom line. And perhaps it would be a tad too unrealistic to start talking about financial windfalls this early in the marketing, advertising and promotions game. Then again, this is no game. It is serious business, not so. And each and every one of you not only want to but needs to make serious money. This is not greed. It is simply survival and in the human order of always making progress.
Finally, a positive tone throughout will always be reciprocated with likes.
